124 brake problems.

I need to know how the brakes on my 124 work. I assume that it has to be something similar to a pinion brake? I am trying to get the parts I need before I go back to my shop in Ms this weekend.

I'm not sure if your 124 has internal or external brakes. Knowing that, we can help out a lot more.

Thanks,

AJ

124 Brakes

It must have an internal brake. There is nothing on the driveline that resembles a braking system. ( possible removed ). Now there is a linkage from the clutch lever assembly back to the gear box. Not sure what it is?

There is some good documentation in the service manual. I know that both Merk and Matt G. did internal brakes with pictures posted. Check those out.
