Hy-Trans question
I am changing the hy-trans in my 1812 and have a question about filling it back up. I am trying to fill it thru the dipstick hole under the seat but I can only put a little in and the it "bubbles" up as the air is coming out of the trans case. Is there an easier way to get the hy-trans into the case?
Thanks for the help. |

I got the same issue on my 1872. - :bigthink: |

I haven't tried it yet but a friend of mine says he removes one of the release valves on top of the trans and it will pour right in the dipstick hole without bubbling and burping fluid all over the place. I installed a breather on the rear cover of my 1572.

I haven't done it yet on my 2084 but will when I change from the snow blower to the mower. I was wondering if inserting a soda/drinking straw to allow air to vent while pouring in the fluid would help.

I removed one of the release valves under the tunnel cover and the hy-tran went in with no problems.
Thanks for the help. |
Thanks, I am going to do mine in a couple of weeks. That is good to know.
