My Cub 100
 

Hi guy's. I was in the market for a garden tractor. Really didn't know what I was looking for. All the new machines just struck me as flimsy. And they weren't cheap either.
I wanted something that looked like a tractor. Tough reliable and easy to maintain. Well a friend of mine suggested getting a old cub. I said whats a cub..
He showed me and the rest is history.
I was in love..That's what I wanted. This thing looks like a tractor. Within 3 months I had a restored 100 and another one I'm working on.

You are so right about the new machines being "flimsy and not cheap", my opinion is that they won't hold up nearly as well as the older Cub Cadets.

This friend really led you in the right direction and you were wise to take his advice.

With a little care and maintenance your tractors should give you years of dependable service.

Glad to hear you are hooked on the older Cub Cadets, there really is nothing quite like them.

I'm not sure if it is just my computer or if it is something else but your pictures didn't come through. If you would, try posting them again, I think I speak for everyone when I say we really want to see them.

I'm the friend. I have created a monster !!! ;) Art has downloaded more information in the last month than I have in the last 20 yrs !! Crack me up. We painted and added the fenders and 3 point hitch last week. I picked up a 127 and 169 this weekend. They are rough, but the 169 has hyd lift, three point and 90 deg gear box.

I can see the pics now, great looking 100! :ThumbsUp:
