Voltage regulator confusion
OK Guys - I need to know a few things about a v/r on a 128, or wide frame. I have looked in the library here and the terminals are labeled differently. In the window with the legend listing there are 3 terminals on one side and a single on the other labeled "G". If you go to the page with the wiring diagrahm it shows this single terminal as a ground but the page for mechanical v/r it shows a G with Generator in the legend list to the left. I need to know which one I'm dealing with. I can see on the one I have this single needs to be ground because it's wired to the chasis and to a resister looking thing on the bottom of the v/r. Also, I've been told these v/rs are self-polarizing and there's no need to do this before starting the tractor. Is this correct?
Any and all help will be appreciated. Thanks, Wayne |
wshytle,
If you are trying to figure which terminals on the voltage regulator get what wire, look in my album under Cub Stuff. You will see one with the resistor that is not ground. Yellow= Field Gray= Bat Green= Gen I hope this helps. |
