K341 vs. 18 hp briggs flat twin
I have a case 1816 loader that was repowered with a 18 hp briggs twin .
Does not seem to make 18hp . Of course not it is old . So I have several questions. 1. Would a k341 work in this application ? 2. Can I get say 20 hp from the k341 with minor expense ? 3. Can I use a k301 case for this with k341 crank etc... 4. if no on #4 anyone in kansas city area with a k341 to part with . I do not know much about the briggs other than the two I have do not make much power. T.I.A. |
I think you would be asking a lot of the K341 to run a 1816 loader.
All engines feel weak when powering hydrostatic drive, I do not know what the 1816 has for wheel drive. Why not go with a higher horsepower twin like a Kohler 27 HP rather than trying to get extra hp out of a smaller engine!!?? :bigthink: |

1. That'd be a better question to ask on a Case forum. With enough time and money, you can do whatever you want, within reason...
2. Why do you need 20hp to run a loader? 3. No |
