1210 Hydro help!

Hope this post is at the right place, I installed a M-12 off of a 1204 on my 1210. The M-12 has electronic ignition, can someone tell me where to hook the white coil wire on the switch?

Thanks for the help.

Go to the Technical Library for tractors, it's on the main page under the Resources section. Go to page four towards the bottom and click on wiring diagram-82 series. Scroll down to the second diagram, which is for a 1282, 680, and 1210. But if you can describe in better detail what it is you need, I can look at my 680. Hope this helps.

thanks my 1210 is like that but the 12mag i put on has one wire from the internal coil that grounds out to stop the engine (i think) and it needs to go to the switch but it also needs to get no power to it ,or thats what i was told and thanks for the diagram info !

Some guys here have done a swap like that and can help out with the wiring. Give them some time to see this post and reply. :beerchug:

I put a M12 from a 1204 in Hunter's 1210 and dont remember having any extra wires anywhere. It dropped right in, I hooked everything up and she fired right up. I'll look at it today sometime and see what it looks like for ya.

There are two different wiring diagrams for the 1210. What is your chassis Serial Number??

bmbigdaddy 04-02-2012 07:55 PM

serial no. 2050603u744956 model no. 145680100 thanks for your help!

It appears the 1210 came with two different motors, depending on age. Early models (like yours) had a K-301, and later models had a M-12.

In order to modify a M-12 going into your chassis, you will have to choose, making a decision on: (a) adding a relay, or (b) replacing the Key Ignition Switch.

Please advise and I'll draw you up a diagram.
