Later model 44C deck with gauge wheels

Does any one have the dimensions for the front gauge wheel bushings on a 44C deck? I want to take a stab at making them myself. Thanks in Advance

44c

I have a 44C on my 1811 and will be glad to help if you will specify exactly what you want me to measure. The two wheels on my deck bolt right to the two vertical uprights on the front edge of the deck. The only bushing I can see is the one inside of the two wheels and that is more a bearing than a bushing. Let me know.

I think the trick to successful front gauge wheels on a suspended deck like a Cub Cadet is the "full radius" curve of the front wheels.

The front wheels do not need to "caster" like a ground riding deck if these wheels are used.

"Flat" surface wheels are perfect for the back gauge wheels.

My front and rear gauge wheels are on a 3/4" pin that is multi-drilled for height adjustment.

This is from the Parts Manual. What part are you talking about...??

inspectorudy 04-09-2012 12:16 PM

What wheels?

That is the same model, in the parts diagram, of 44c that I have and I did not understand what he was talking about either. I have never seen the round tube mount that he shows in the picture.

I have NO clue either, unless it is not a 44C...!!

Sorry, not a 44C, I did not mean to mis-lead you guys, I was just trying to help with how I would add front gauge wheels and a possible answer to the bushing question!!??:bigthink:

The deck shown previously is on a 1861 , well kind of a 1861!!
