How Many 109's???
 

Hello, I am fairly new to Cubs and have no reference information. How many model 109 Cubs were built? How about 126's? I have a good 149 and 124 to use and am interested in others for their collectibility. The way I understand it the 800's and 169's are very collectible. Then come the 73, 126 and 86. All information is appreciated.

:Welcome2: You have that pretty close to how rare the cubs are based on their production numbers, except I think the 126 comes before the 73. The 86 isn't considered a garden tractor since it has a vertical shaft engine instead of horizontal shaft engine. You might consider purchasing (Ken?) Updike's book about the history of Cub Cadets to learn more about them---well worth the money, well written, and very informative.

We'd like to see some pics of your cubs when you get the op.....

It goes 800, 169, 126, 73 then 86 for top 5. The 86 is a garden tractor withvq 8 hp horizontal kohler. Ive also wpndered about 109s because on my opperators manual for my 169 it doeant mention a 109 so they must not have made them all the way through production

An 86 is a garden tractor.It looks just like a 108 but has a 8 Hp horizontal kohler in it.

I was going to say, a Cub Cadet 86 is a more rare garden tractor with the 8hp Kohler. Horizontal drive, driveshaft, 3speed tranny. You must be thinking of the Cadet 80 or something along those lines CC123.

Thanks guys for catching my error on the 86.....got it confused with a cub mower VS........but I forget which one.....Sorry for any confusion.

Anyone know the production numbers for the 109? Was it a high production unit?

I dont know for sure but the 109 seems to be a fairly popular model, seems like you see quite a few up for sale. My guess would be somewhere in the average to below average in production numbers.
