Friend gets a Super

A good friend acquired his first Cub (IIRC) a few weeks ago... A '97 2086 with a 54" deck, 48" snowblower, wheel weights and chains. He purchased it from the original owner who happened to be a Cub dealer over on the east side of the Twin Cities who took it back in on trade after the second owner didn't want it anymore a mistreated the machine. The tractor had roughly 650 hours a had a seal leaking on the motor & damage to the hood due to a transporting error. The tore the whole motor down a rescaled all of it to make it a new motor. He's still pretty excited about the machine & the guys at the dealership - sounded like they treated him like family. I don't have any pictures though I do ask about how much seat time he got that week (he works the weekend - 4th - shift & I'm a 1st kid) and he usually gets giggly for a bit.

Mike pass this on to your friend from us! :beerchug: Now you've got to get him to become a member so we can see some pics!

That's right! He'd love it here!

He would actually. I have mentioned the forum a couple of times and I assume he's stumbled upon it as well. It'll be easy to convince him to join. That tractor really seems to sing to him, more than I thought it would. He may have seen or caught onto how enthused I am about my 100 and decided to give it a try.

As a funny side note, his neighbor has a larger "green" tractor with a few 3-pt attachments that got his attention, that was until he saw the price tag. He also has a friend who bought a kinda-"green" tractor from one of the big-box stores with a Briggs in it and all of the wiring melted to the point the tractor almost caught fire.
