Hello from Barrie Ontario Canada
:CanadianFlag:
Hi I am a new member from Canada I run a small engine shop I just opened this year still on the learning curve but willing to share freely of what I know, for I believe knowlege is power and the free sharing of knowlege is powerful. I am looking forward to many interesting topics in the future . Dan |

Welcometo the forum dan, from wheatfield,N.Y. I do have a question for you, what would cause a lack of throttle control while an engine is running,it will actually run at a high R.P.M.,But,it fails to come down on slow position? thanks and welcome again.:BangPC::bash2:

Thanks for the welcomes
Thanks for the welcomes and a question from MrMac, I had a tractor come in , with a "lack of throttle control while an engine is running,it it did run at a high R.P.M.,But,it fails to come down on slow position" it turns out the customer tried to tune it himself and ended up with a trottle screw in backwards, some springs in the wrong holes and the jets were all miss adjusted, or it could be some dirt in the carb. Check your linkages for binding or sticking, look up the specs for your engine and check the initial settings as to how yours is set up.If you are comfortable cleaning the carb outside and inside that often clears up a lot of performance problems, let me know what works for you to get the throttle control back. I hope I have been of some help.
