A guy close to me has a 682 with a 50" deck for sale. I may be able to get a good deal on it, but I'm not sure that I really want it,...since it has no hydraulic lift. I'm thinking that I'd rather have a 782...or for sure a 982! What are your guys opinions on the 682?

They're good GT's. I converted one to hyd lift. If it has a Series I engine in it, that would definitely bring the price down.

The two most used Cubs I have are the 1450 & 782. They both have Hydraulic Lift on them, and I like it. Getting too old for the "arm-strong method"....:biggrin2.gif:

Actually I think it depends on what you plan on doing with it. If I was mowing grass with it, I think I would like the manual lift because of the positive stops on the deck height as opposed to the cam plate stop on the hydro lift. Plus you can always add a sping assist. If I was doing ground engaging work, I would prefer a hydro lift for obvious reasons.
