Now some of you may have known this already, but I just discovered this today.

I see, that Cub Cadet is offering Electronic Power Steering (EPS) on their GTX2000, & GTX2100 Garden Tractors. This interests me.

I wonder, just how big of a deal would it be to modify a older Cub with EPS....???

Judging by the parts diagram, it looks like it'd be pretty hard. The PS unit mounts directly below the steering wheel and has a shaft sticking out of it that drives a rack and pinion. Finding enough room under the dash would be quite a challenge (it looks bulky) and then you'd have to modify an existing steering box and stick it on the end.

Not to mention it's close to $600 new, and it's probably way too soon for used ones to be available.

I think I'll stick with the nice605 bearing...:HeeHee:
