I sprayed the 1772 with the correct Cub Yellow this past weekend. It turned out very nice and slick after wet sanding with 1500 and wax after. I cut and installed some new footpads with the added heel protection that runs up the fender a little. I think it looks good even though not so "original". I also added the tripple C decal between the rear lights. I know, not correct for that year, but I just like that look. I will be painting the hood and side panals next and will post when job is done.

I used Limco paint. I used it on both Supers and the color match was spot on. I say that because the 2072 has original paint and I touched up some places on the fenders and blended the Limco paint into the Cub paint. After the wet sanding and wax it looked good as factory. The 1772 had a lot of Tractor Supply paint and took more of the Limco paint. After scuffing the TSC paint, the Limco paint stuck great and cured the next day. This paint was mixed and put into a spray can. I plan on upgrading to a paint gun and use my air compressor. I have only painted two tractors with a gun and I used factory Cub paint. I hope to paint the rest of the 1772 this way.

The paint job looks great. To me the white looks just as good, but I know pics can be deceiving.
