Picked up a tiller at the ohio plow day
My wife and I were at a plow day in Ohio this last weekend and picked up a tiller that I plan to put on the back of our model 70. I started the process of removing all the rusted bolts so I can remove both left and right extensions so the little 70 can handle it. While doing this I found that at least one of the main shaft bearings is gone, so now I get the fun of removing all the tines on one side and replacing the bearings. I will probably remove all the tines and just overhaul the bottom end of the tiller. Tines are in good shape and I want to trade the extensions for or toward a windbreaker cab for the 70. I will get some pics of the tiller tomorrow. Cheers Mike

Welcome to the Cub site.....I am a fairly new guy here too, but always nice to say hello. Would be interested in seeing your pictures, given your handle I bet ya got a 782D? or want one!!
I am on the hunt for an IH 982 if you know of anyone selling one. Thanks, look forward to seeing how you make out with your new tiller! |
ih782dmike,
Congratulations on the new tiller. :beerchug: Cant wait to see the pictures:biggrin2.gif: |
Used to have a 782d, was to much to deal with getting started in the winter and parts going NLA or made of gold price wise. The 70 is more sized to what we need to use a cub for. Mike
