Toolbox/Bumper
 

I would like to add/fab a toolbox and bumper to my 1450. If anyone has bolted a toolbox onto thier tractor, could you post pics or explain where you mounted it? I am thinking a smaller metal type for a few hand tools, small chain, clevis, pins, ect. I was thinking somewhere behind the seat between the tailights, if I could bolt it in there without drilling holes into the seat pan. Maybe running up some braces off of bolts in the rear end area? Same with a front bumper. I can build one, just not sure how and where on the front to attatach it so it won't interfere with other attatchments.

Xtreme motor works makes a tool box that fits behind the tailights and is fairly reasonable. If you wanted a bumper with a tool box i would take an old mule drive and make it from there. Provided you have enough steel laying around to make it the way you want. Hope this helps!

This is what i did its a bumper/toolbox/weight bracket uses the quick hitch system up front.

I was thinking of putting two pieces of "U" shaped channel under the seat bolts that extend rearward that would hold small tools that I need while using the tractor. Things like pliers, hammer, wrench and an oil squirt can. I believe the two pieces of steel would easily support such items and would not interfere with the rear lift. I was also thinking of adding a front bumper to the deck mule that would use the big side bolts and be either bolted or welded to the mule its self. I already have two large nuts welded into my front frame for the Johnny bucket I bought and could use them as well. The problem I have run into with that plan is that the two big side bolts are not long enough to accommodate two pieces of steel in the same space.

Thanks for the ideas on the tool box and bumper. No I did not get the cart. I saw that it was gone and a few days later my neighbor stopped by and said that there were two trailers over there I could have and told me where he left them. One is a craftsman, and one was a larger dumpcart. I don't know the Mfg. of it. I will get some pics of them. I was surprised that he kept the #2 as it needed a lot of work.
