Deck facelift

The deck belt gave out so I thought I'd sharpen the blades and paint the underside. I ended up tearing it down and painting it all to match the tractor. It seemed like a good time to get it matched up.
I got the tractor that color and thought I'd put it back to white and yellow but it's grown on me and I just don't have the time. It was built to pull by the PO and he did nothing with the deck so it looked strange with the white and yellow mule and deck.

Note the hubcaps and the grease zerks.

I like the black and silver paint scheme, and the chrome hub caps! Never have seen tie rods like that.

I think it looks COOL the way it is. I may do something like that with the 71 roller I have sitting in the barn. :bigthink:

Thanks guys. The guy I bought it from was a mechanic that was into IH tractors and he built this for his son over the winter for pulling competitions. By spring the boy decided he wanted a horse instead. I bought it and run it for over a year (mow and plow) and all I needed to do was adjust the PTO and tighten up a fitting on the fuel bowl in that time. When I saw the grease fittings I figured it was done well in spite of the color. I did add the hubcaps though.

that's a sweet looking cub. I prefer the yellow and white, but that's really nice looking. Good job with the hub caps. :beerchug:
