10" Brinly Moldboard

I picked up this plow with some other things. It's nearly all bad surface rust on the face with just minor pitting. It's dismantled and going through the electrolysis tank now. It's my second moldboard and still no hitch adaptor.

Sweet! I like it.

Nice find on your plow!

When you were here the other day we should have showed you our find(s). No pics yet but we are not done yet. We know of another one too that we are going to pick up. Maybe you can rig two plows together and pull with your lowboy.

I let the LoBoy go. I got it running well then little things came up - rust in the tank, flat tire and I figured it would just keep taking my time and money. A young fellow stopped and asked to buy it and I let it go. Cheap to. It made a young man happy, I got a bit injected into my Cub fund and another was saved from the scrap yard. He was a nice young man just starting out with a family.

We should plan an afternoon to get together soon.

Nice find!

I have to say...To me, it looks like an 8"..Rather than a 10".

That's what I thought but it has a stamp on the back and that's how I read it. I really wouldn't know but the fellow I got it from said that as well. I'll post pics when it's done cooking. I do know how to measure but didn't. I never saw a stamp on them either.

I had the other half in the tank. Flipped it this morning and got the pic. I believe it is an older plow. I know very little about these. Are they all stamped this way?

Help!

I didn't find much info on these. My understanding is this would be from 47 (first two numbers after the letters) and they changed colors at some point after that. Is my info right and what color(s) should it be? Should I do the part with the sticker twice in the tank, one end at a time, and try to preserve what's left of the sticker with poly or don't/won't it matter?
