Brake safety switch

My 149 is missing the piece on the brake shaft that contacts the safety switch. Will this one from a 782 work?

Unless you have kids or you want to keep it original (or some other reason) why not bypass it?

I'm pretty sure it won't work...the 82 series one is very different than the earlier ones if I remember correctly.

Thanks. It went out of my price range anyway. I know the switch is less important on a hydro machine, but if I can find what I need cheap, I'd like to replace it.
