Disassembly photos of my 1641. Any interest?
Would any members benefit from my disassembly photos?
I had my 1641 torn down for major service and took lots of photos. I put them on my laptop and in the garage I viewed them in reverse order and they became assembly instructions. I removed the motor, steering box, battery box, seat, fender, gas tank, disc brake calipers, Starter, engine cooling shrouds and I'm sure other stuff. Is there any interest in them? If these photos are not desired here I completely understand. I can upload them to somewhere on this site and they can be there for posterity. I just want someone to benefit from them as I have benefited from other's knowledge. I think I would like to hear from a moderator before I just upload them. I would need a pointer to begin uploading them. There are about 120 photos of the tractor in all its dirt and glory. Remember, these are not clean restored parts reassembly photos. Let me know either way. John North NJ |

Go for it. It will probably help a bunch of guys that have no idea what they are getting into. :beerchug:

That is a very positive reply. I am encouraged.
I read the FAQs and it mentioned posting one or two pics in a reply. How do I go about posting 120? Even if I break them down into subassemblies there are quite a few per subject. The originals are JPGs about 1.4 mb each. I can reduce the size of them. That is not a problem. I do have some web space they can be posted but (in the future) when the link is terminated so will OCC's access to them. Do you have a server they can be uploaded to so you can have them permanently? Guidance please. Thank you, John |
Any advice on this?

You may want to upload them all to a free online album, then post a few direct links to show the images here. Then, if members want to visit the full album they can.

Hey just found this and I'm working on a 1641. Would love to see an album on Photobucket or something like that!
