I Need a Welder

Working on a Model 149. The hydro pump was leaking from both sides of the trunnion shaft, so I decided to split the tractor and pull out the pump. I plan to change all four seals.

This is the control side of the trunnion shaft. It has the typical wear seen on these tractors

I'd like to do this job correctly while I have it apart, but I do not own a welder, I do not have access to a welder, and I do not know anyone who welds.

Maybe someone on this site can help me out with this. I would be happy to pay.

Nice work table. Talk about upscale. I'm still using an old steel work bench. :biggrin2:

For the record, I did wipe the Hytran off before I laid it out on the granite:beerchug:

Thanks for the quick responses! I will try to track down Jeff in PA.

go to tractor supply and get one of those JobSmart 110 flux core mig welders....some times they are on sale for $110 something dollars. they arent all that great but it will do the job and do other jobs for you. or save your pennys and buy a nice millermatic mig or lincoln or esab mig.:biggrin2:

Ive done worse, Ive done better. I didnt get to it yesterday with the mig so I had to use my off topic stick welder. Youll be fine and Kathy will get it in the mail to you monday. Our post office is closed on Sat due to their cut backs.

Oh and I really should charge you for this job, not for the labor, but for that horrable sound of the file on the steel! Man that make my hair stand up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im glad I could help you out.
