2 ply or 4 ply front tires for a 124?

Baby needs a new pair of shoes! I need to buy some front tires for my 124. I have looked at the 5-rib tires (on it now and very slick) and also at the turf tires in 16-6.50 x 8. 2 ply are half the cost of 4 ply. Any recommendations?

For me I would decide if that tractor is going to have a blade and or a snow thrower mounted on it. If not 2 plys would work but if either were contemplated to be mounted I would go with the 4 plys. A front mounted implement put more stress on tires and bearings.

The original tires were 2-ply. What's more important is what you are planning on doing with it; if you plan to be driving around in wet grass or pushing snow, do yourself a favor and don't get turf tires for the front...you won't be able to steer in those situations.

I'm listening! What tires would you recommend for pushing snow? I can't afford the tri-ribs. Any other suggestions?
