#7 Trailer
Hi
I am new to this site My Father and I have owned and used Cub Cadets since the mid 1960's. We also have a tandem #7 IH trailer that we haul them on...He bought it used in 1970...Anybody out there have any info on it? When and how long it was built? Thanks so much |
:Welcome2: Hope to see some pics of your trailer.

In the most recent issue, Nov/Dec 12, Lawn and Garden Tractor Mag, Scott Urschel did an article about the #5 and #7 carts. He found a model 2000 trailer (replaced the #7) and is gonna restore it.

I would love it see a Pic of it.

#7 Trailer
Ok...Ill try to get some pics of it soon
It's the handiest trailer we have...5' wide by 10' long..tiltbed...4.80x4x8 tires..so its low to the ground...we have used it over the last 40 years for everything from moving furniture to hauling the cub cadets and equipment back and forth to the garden...maybe a few hayrides and whatnot...It still has the original 5 x 10 x 1" thick wooden floor...It's one solid piece of plywood. I guess IH had it custom manufactured? I would love to find a brochure or parts manual on it...Also some production figures and years. Whoever designed it put alot of thought into it. I have only ever seen one other one. I did see the article on the model 2000. Thats what got my interest going on the #7. Thanks for any info! |

#7 trailer pictures

Hey guys,
I dug up two pics on the #7 trailer...these are all i have at the moment...the trailer is stuck under the shed behind a non running tractor at the moment. I will get it out soon and take some good detailed pictures. My dad bought the stake pockets from the IH dealer and built the sides in 1970 shortly after he bought the trailer. They come off easily. The frame of the trailer still has the original paint. I am guessing it is IH industrial yellow? Seems to be a little different than the Cadet yellow. It has always been registered with the DMV as a 1962 year model. Does anyone know the year range and production figures? I know the Model 2000 replaced it in the 1970's. Thanks for any info or comments you may have Jay |
My trailer almost looks like that. Think I need to paint it yellow. :biggrin2:
