Got some new orange in the stable
5 Attachment(s)
I've been thinking real hard about finding an acreage tractor for chores around the homestead. Now I like using my cubs and they get the job done, but sometimes you need something alittle newer and bigger. I've got a couple acres of pasture to mow and some of those snow drifts in the winter are too big for my cubs. So I've been doing some research, talking to other owners (Thanks for the input Gary :biggrin2:) and decided to get this beast. A nice Kubota B3300SU with loader. The Kubota dealer is 3 miles from me as the crow flies and I've heard tons of good things about the Botas (and the 782D/1772 engines sure run good). Got a great deal on the tractor and loader. Dealer threw in the ballast box. Will look for a three point mower this spring. Nice, smooth running 4 cylinder diesel. My wife did make me sacrifice some toys. Sold the bobcat skidloader and 4 out of 9 of the cubs :bash2:, but it'll be nice to hop on, turn the key, and move some big snow drifts. Here are some pics.............................................. ..

Congrats on your Kubota, Josh!

Nice looking unit Josh! |
Very nice tractor. I've had a 3400 for some time, I went with loaded ag tires, for field work, it never let me down, and always ready to work:beerchug:
Thinking you'll enjoy the new tractor. |
Thanks for the comments guys! The hardest part was deciding which 4 cubs to move down the road.......
I did my research on Kubota, Mahindra, and Mother Deere and the Kubota blew the other two out of the water as far as reliability, resale, ease of use. That Jane Doe has plastic fenders and a plastic hood. :bash2: And the fact a Kubota dealer was so close sealed the deal. Lots of older Kubotas out there running strong, too. Can't wait to move some snow and dirt with this thing. :beerchug: |
I have been happy with it's little brother. :biggrin2:

Josh,
Nice looking Kubota! We have its BIGGER brother here on the farm, the M125X. Its super nice, 125hp, FWA, loader, cab, etc. We priced IH and JD in the same hp range and also found that Kubota was way cheaper and you still got all the great features. I think grandpa said the other day that he already had about 1100 hours on his...... |
Nice Kubota!! My neighbor has the same model it works good for him but we are wanting a L3800 with a loader. They sure have the power to do anything you will love it!

Thanks for all the comments guys!
Ryan, Glad to hear your Grandpa's Kubota is still running strong. I knew Kubotas had a great reputation for the smaller tractors, not the bigger ones. Sam, I went with the B series. The L series was a little too big for what I needed. The loader was beefier on the L series and the price wasn't too much higher. If you guys get one, you won't be disappointed. Now I think the cubs are mad cause the 149 didn't wanna start very easy. Guess the single digit windchills didn't help.......:biggrin2: |
