plow mounting help

Does anyone have any pics of how the old non-quick attach plows mount up? I believe that is what I have for my 126 and I can't get it to fit but I saw 1 on ebay for sale that says it fits a 126 (same plow and frame) that I have. Hoping maybe I am just over looking something while trying to mount it. Also do you put the rear fork ends of the plow frame on 1st before mounting the front?

Yes, you need to put the rear subframe on the foot rest pegs before you connect the front.

You may need to drill a hole on each side of the front frame to hold the blade frame to the tractor. The book calls for two 1/2" x 1" cap screws, one on each side.

Are you talking about the front push blade...???

Niteblaster 12-26-2012 09:15 PM

yes the front push blade. It already has holes drilled on the front sides of the tractor but the plow frame is a little narrower than my tractor frame unless I am doing something wrong. Does the non quick attach use an extra bracket that mounts to the push frame and then to the tractor?

Pictures of your setup would help alot.:bigthink:

Here it is. I got some help from here the other day but still can't figure it out. I am thinking about heating the side mounts with the bar up and spreading them wider unless I am just doing something wrong because they don't seem to fit on the inside or outside of the frame or the front where the quick attach plow frame locks in.

I have mounted blades on lots of cubs before and I do not think it is possible, as I tried unsuccessfully for over 1 hour today to mount my subframe, just like yours on my 126 today. The front brackets just don't seem to be wide enough.

Thank you, now I know not to waste any more time trying without doing some modifying.

There is a set of extensions that you use to mount that type to a QA setup.
