battery corrosion
:American Flag 1:
Hope you all had a very blessed Christmas and have a blessed New Year as well! The battery tray on my LT 1042 has some white corrosion on it, as does the battery terminals, battery cables, and the metal battery hold down rod. What have you all found to be the best thing to keep all these things corrosion free? I've tried wheel bearing grease and Vaseline, which does help. Saw an episode of American Restoration and Rick said to clean everything off real good, then spray it with hair spray. Supposedly that will stop corrosion. Anybody ever tried that? Thanks in advance for your ideas.:biggrin2: |
I use that red battery terminal spray. when it set up it keep the oxygen and 02 from corroding the cables.
Id bet hair spray would come close to doing the same thing. |
