Can someone explain to me the purpose of the 'Draft Plate' on the brinly hitch?? My 122 has the lift set up so I just ordered a sleeve hitch to use with it. It has all the parts but the draft plate and I wondered if it is a critical part or a 'bell & whistle' type part.

The Draft Plate, is used to stabilize the rear implement (ie: plow) from swaying from side to side.
