small amount of oil in engine breather

I took off the plate for the breather to find a small amount of oil saturating the bottom of it. Not sure if there should be any oil in there. The engine does not smoke or anything. The motor is a K301, I am also trying to take off the fan shroud without removing the motor. I am finally getting the cub tore down pretty good with little resistance. I just want to get this motor in shape before spring. Thanks for any help

Oil in the breather is normal, you will have to pull the engine to remove the shroud.

See, I figured that she had to come out. I don't think I can let that go. That cooling fan is probably nasty and needs cleaned. At least the oil in the breather is normal though. Thanks yall for the help.
