682 IH diesel conversion

So I will be getting a 682 soon that has a blown engine and I just got a golf course mower with a kabota 3cly diesel. I was wondering if there were any major differences between the 782d and the 682 as far as the frame hood and side shields are concerned. Any other info on such a conversion would be appreciated. I will post pics as i get them.

Exact same frame and hoods though the bolt holes in the frame may be different.

Yeah, they are pretty much the same. What size kubota do you have? Can't wait to see some pics:beerchug:

I could not find the tag on it but for the price it didn't matter. After gutting out the engine hydraulics and other usable parts I should be able to make the money back by sending the frame and whatnot to scrap. The engine is already in there backwards with the drivline hooked to the front pulley and a fan on the back above the flywheel.

I have a drawing of the drive shaft adapter that bolts to the pulley if you need it. Numbers for the engine should be on the injector pump.

Ty for the number location. I may use the driveshaft that's on the engine because it has Ujoints at each end. The only thing that is concerning me at this point is how the engine mounts to the frame.

This is a pic from the Cub parts site for a 1572,the parts should be the same for a 782D. Note that it only shows one of the engine mounts but there is a left and right mount listed in the parts call out.

There are 4 main parts to the engine mount. Each side is made up of two pieces of steel, dampened by two rubber bushings per side.

I got the downer mower today. It is a Jacobson turfcart. It has a D950 kubota engine in it that purrs like a kitten.
