Three Speed Parts Question
I've got a 122 that is a donor for my 126 that I'm trying to get going.
I'm hanging onto a few parts off this tractor like S/G, clutch assy, drive shaft, but what about the tranny? Anything I should keep from it, like the shifter or axle tubes? Are there other wear items from this 122 I should keep? Right now I'm not selling anything, just pouring over this tractor and asking myself, what spare parts would I be wise to keep. Thanks!!!!! I don't think I really understand what you're asking. Why not get both tractors running? Almost all the parts will interchange though the 122 has an internal brake and the 126 has external. the linkage up to the trans is the same though.

Hello, keep the whole rear transaxel. Mike

:coffee: I agree, I've seen everything from cracked frames and broken front axles to a broken steering sector and a stripped 3rd gear. So to tell you what to keep is a no brain er, if it's not eating or drinking anything I would keep it around for parts or possible resurrection at a latter date. Besides it's a good conversation starter with the neighbors when they ask "HEY, WHATS UNDER THE TARP" ? :HeeHee:

Betsy and I have an unwritten/unspoken deal, I don't tell her how many purses/shoes/nick-nacks ect. she can have, and she doesn't tell me how many tractors I can have.

Any IH stamped hardware I would keep, try to sell the sheet steel from the 122. Keep the front axel too! |
