K321 oil seal question
Can the crankshaft oil seals be changed without removing the crank from the engine? These seals seem like the could be pulled out and then pressed back in. I could be wrong? Any help is appreciated!!
Thank you, Gmiller |
Yep, as a matter of fact you have to set the seal depth with the crank already in place. Check out your Kohler service manual to get the correct depth. If you don't have one, they are located in our Tractor library.

Also make sure to polish the crankshaft with sand paper before installing new one I messed up the first one not doing that.

Order 2 seals if you've never done it before. The Kohler seal is quite thin and a bit tricky to get seated correct depth and square in the bore.
