New to me 73

Well I got another cub even though my first one isnt finished yet but almost. Had a friend tell me about this one being on the side of the road near me and I had him verify it was a cub today so I went and looked at it. The lady wanted quite a bit too much for it but I ened up getting it for a decent price. Its missing the PTO, front grill, and has some ridiculous metal welded on as fenders plus a horshoe welded to the frame below the S/G but she said it ran and the engine spun over good by hand, trans shifts, etc. Has mule drive and it also came with the original operators manual and receipts from all the work done in the past, pretty cool. It definately needs some work but I think I made a good choice, I like it. Dont know much about the 73 but am learning, NF series like my 127 and serials are about 20k apart, It was built in October 1969.

Nice find on the 73! Those are getting to be one of the harder to find cubs. The last of the round fendered cubs..........:beerchug:

Looks good hope you only paid a few hundred for it.Up here that's a $100 tractor.
What's up with the horse shoe?

Yeah I got it for $150 Lew. You got way more up your way though, slim pickings way down here.

Looks good! I've found that a right angle grinder is really good for erasing previous owners "improvements" without leaving a trace.

You did good for the price. There's a few states/regions where Cubs are cheap and plentiful.

Then there's the rest of the world.....

John

PS: Those "fenders" need a cup holder!
