1650 drive shaft pin holes
2 Attachment(s)
I had to take my drive shaft out to replace the fan and when I was looking more closely at the pin hole I noticed it seemed a little out of round at the pin holes.
Is this anything to be concerned about or should I replace? Attachment 34617 Attachment 34618 Any input would be appreciated I am all no to this and not sure what are problems or not. Thanks in advance Ron |

I would have expected to see it egg shaped from side to side as it rotates not end to end. I have seen worse. Just my 2 cents but I’d put a new spirol pin in it and run it. Keep an eye on to see if it starts to get worse. If it concerns you be done with it and stick a new one in and forget about it for how many more years? Sam |
Hard to tell from a picture, but those holes look fine to me.
The holes are countersunk a little so you can get the pin started and that makes the outer edges of the holes look oblong. If you are still concerned about it, send me your old shaft and I'll make you a new stainless steel one for $30.00 + shipping. |
