hydro relief valve?

Hi guys
I fired up my smoker (1572) and realized I had a leaking relief valve. First thought was I would send it to the fellow in Ohio that rebuilds them. Then I went out and looked at a 1541 that I have taken an engine from and now is a parts rig. The valves look the same. Can anyone here verify that they are. I would of just tried one, but the rear fender needs to come off to even get to the relief on the 1541, so I thought I would ask the question here first and see if anyone knows that they are the same.

Oh yes and that engine transplant into my 782 went great. She runs fantastic.

Thanks for any response!

They should swap as long as the 1541 is an early 1541 with the Sundstrand Hydro. The later 1541 has the Hydro Gear hydro according to the Cub parts site. :beerchug:

Thanks Sam,

The pump looks to be the same as the one in the 1572. Maybe I will save a few dollars. The parts tractor just got a bit cheaper.

thanks again
