Belt trouble
 

I bought my 1450 with no deck, now I'm going to use it for cutting my grass this summer and I'm trying to figure out what belt to use. I got the 3/8 by 81 and it seems to short it is very tight. I'm using the 42 inch deck from my 104 and the mule drive off a 149 of a buddy's. any input would help thanks guys!:bigthink:

I think that's the correct belt for a 1X8/1X9 tractor. Not sure if it's right for a QL. I'd take it to napa and get one an inch or so longer.

A Quiet Line tractor with a 42" deck calls for a 3/8" X 81" belt.

Do yourself a favor and get the correct one from your local Case/IH dealer, it will last years longer than anything else.

Thanks guys for the info, haven't figured it out yet but haven't needed to, it is only forty degrees here in Wisconsin and its been raining darn near everyday!

The issue was a couple of years ago. MTD has since resolved that issue.
