Only Cub Cadets - Father and son from Missouri

Hello all. I recently was given a 129 by my brother in law. It has a very low hour Kohler 12 hp (about 10 hrs). It hadnt been run in about 5 years or so, but luckily had been under a lean to and out of the direct weather. The body is rough, but not beyond repair / repaint. Everything seems to work although some things have been subjected to a little redneck engineering. I'm using this little tractor as a teaching tool to introduce my 9 year old to tools, shop safety and basic mechanics. I thought the scale of the 129 wouldn't seem too overwelming for him and I'm hoping he'll catch the bug and enjoy getting his hands dirty. I have a strong mechanical background an am fortunate to have a nicely equiped shop to work in. I look forward to participating in this forum. I'll share our little adventure and look forward to the help this forum will provide us.
