I'm going to add a sleeve hitch to my 1450 , I presently have this ball hitch in place and want to retain it if possible .... will a sleeve hitch clear this ?

tks, B.

I made one of these for myself and use the sleeve hitch for rasing and lowering

xtreme motorworks has an extended sleeve hitch adapter that should clear your current drawbar. You'll need a longer lift pin as well, but they have everything you need. I got a similar setup to clear the tiller angle gear box on the back of my 149. But, to be honest, there is some value to the ability to raise and lower the ball hitch as Jeff in PA shows: back up to your trailer, raise the ball to engage the hitch, pull the trailer, drop it where you want. don't even have to get out of the seat! But either way, an extended hitch adapter should work fine for what you want to do. I think it's xtrememotorworks.com.

I make extended heavy duty sleeve hitch adapters too

Had an older cultivator sent last week ... spent some time wire wheeling ... rust treating and painting ... also did the same to a rear hitch and rear plow....

this weekend i'll have time to assemble and put into action ...

Here's another solution that actually gives you the ability to raise and lower the hitch ball to the height of the object you are pulling and it doesn't require one bit of machining skill. I just took the hitch and the ball together and drilled a hole through both at the same time and then put a hitch pin through them.
