New here from Overland Park KS
Hello everyone,
I was able to pick up my father's cub 2185 this past weekend. It was sitting in the barn for over 8 years..... well with a little bit of work I was able to get it running.. The problems I am having is I have to jump the starter in order to get it to start. Anyone know what to do to fix that? And when just sitting running it tends to run rough. When I go to low throttle it dies out.. Im sure that has something to do with the carb.. And thanks for reading my search is now on to find the answer to the problems... Oh thanks for letting me join in the forum!!!!! I soon will get pic's of it as well I not sure it I will with the 3 bag system on it as I have some work to do on it yet Thanks for looking Aaron |

Congrats on the 2185! Make sure your grounds are clean and tight and check and clean all the wiring connections. |

It'll take some time but follow Mike's aka cubcrazy advise and check all the connections. |
Welcome to OCC! Glad to have you!

Thank you all for the warm welcomes!!! I replaced all the wires with new and still have not traced down the problem I am thinking it has something to do with the key fob it self because I can use anything to turn it on. Another problem came up today with no brakes... Tried to adjust them to no avail got nothing... So back to the searching for this problem before I finish up on the no starting with the key problem.
Cubcrazy- Thank you for the advice and I have cleaned all wiring connections before I put the new wires in. a mouse had gotten to a few of them after sitting for 8 years -Aaron- |
