my "cub" trailer

I'm not sure where I should put this thread, so i'll try here. Moderators please advise if incorrect.
I picked up this trailer about 6 months ago with the intent of making a "cub" lawn cart. It is not an international trailer. But I liked the look of it. The trailer was in rough shape but solid. I started by taking the axle and springs off and used electrolysis to remove the rust. It looked like the axle, springs, mounts and wheels were galvanized originally. I used a side grinder with heavy wire wheels to remove rust from the rest of the trailer. I did most on a 3 day weekend and forgot to take pics, sorry. |
Well, is the Cub gonna ride on it, or pull it!!?? :bigthink:
It looks like the trailer could do either!! |
If it were mine I'd be pulling it and not putting my cub on it.

Some more pictures.
I had some spare 682 front wheels that fit the axle. I think i like the cub wheels better than the galvanized boat trailer wheels that i was gonna put on it. I was thinking about red, but I liked the look of the fenders and thought the almond would look better with them. I then found some cold galvanizing from Rustoleum I used on the fenders, axle, springs and spring mounts like what originally came on trailer. |

The trailer is only 4 ft x 4.5 ft so it will be a yard cart. I got it painted. Waiting on decals from Binder books to finish. I have thought about spray in liner for inside to bed, but think it may take away from the looks of trailer. I will post pics when decals are added.

That is a sweeeeet trailer..
Just the perfect size for the Cub. You did nice work  |
Looks but I think I would have had it sand blasted to get every nook and cranny.
