Just wanted to vent frustration
 

Is there anyone else that gets really ticked off by people who post things on Ebay, a WORLD WIDE SALES NETWORK...... but WON'T ship their item :bash2::bash2::bash2: If you don't want to ship it... PUT IT IN THE NEWSPAPER CLASSIFIEDS!!!! For crying out loud! I'm so frustrated with finding some guy with some "awesome cub cadet something" that is like 3million miles away from me, but won't ship it. Anybody else ever feel like this?:Choke:

Did you offer to pay shipping? I could take a gt to work, band it down to a skid, toss up on the scale and call Pitt Ohio, and load up on a 54 footer and be on it's way!

Other than that, if I cant get something not much further out of state, then I don't need it, I guess.:BangPC:

I will ALWAYS pay for the shipping... I only hear whining on the other end... "oh, that will be expensive" :BlahBlah: I know it will "cost money", but "expensive" is a relative term. I ship to and from my business almost daily too johncub7172. I'm frustrated with even small items. I don't know if ebay sellers are just lazy, or don't know how to drive to a local store and hand them a box. Ill do everything for them.... But some people won't even put it in a freakin box!

The last person I would ship to is somebody who would vent about it.

They would be the first person that;
1) would say the item is damaged and demand a refund
2) would say the item never arrived and demand a refund
3) would say the item is less than advertised and demand a refund
4) would say the etc............... and demand a refund

You gotta handle the situation with kid gloves, 99% chance the guy is new to selling.

Maybe you have had good experiences selling that way, but, get burned once, and you are ready to sell local, if possible, even at a $100 loss.

Also, to many, it isn't all about the money. Some people are only used to FTF sales.:bigthink:

that or someone doesn't have the ambition to ship it? i know ive been asked to ship some items i sell on craigslist and i won't due to the simple fact of...i don't want to.

I understood you correctly, but was not totally sure, sorry! I guess the seller don't want the money for said object all that much,....too much work finding their work boots and sending out the part, lol! 9x's out of 10, its the purchaser sending out the payment first, then the seller sending out the part. So who stands the greater chance of getting burned?

That don't make much sense to think you would vent about no shipping before you decided to buy the part. I understand you would have bought the part, then vented because the seller will not ship!

Then what is the point of e-bay?? A lot of times the part is just not worth the cost of fuel, time, and uncertainty of going to the place of pick up on top of the asking price of part. Not trying in any way to start a war, here guys. This is my personal thought only! Truth be told, many good folks around a IH Cub Cadet has been my experience. I once sent out parts totaling 20$, and 5$ for shipping before I received payment. Well, as the story goes.......I waited and waited for the payment. I never said a word or thought of anger. Then, about 2 months later I receive payment in the mail, and a nice thank you. The purchaser was called out to work, and my package sat on his desk until he returned! It was a neat story, for sure!

Ebay frustrates me to the point I've stopped using it. Sniping auctions, expensive or no shipping, ridiculous prices because "I've seen one sell for insert high crazy price so mine must be worth it too" I've given up on that site long ago. I've got other sources for things that I'll try first.

I was frustrated last night when I started this thread. It's just annoying. If you don't want to ship, don't post on a national, or even world wide site. Anyway. There was also that high price thing cause they thought it was rare!! Thanks for the vent guys! I'm new here, so I hope this didn't make me sound like a jerk! Just frustrated! :beerchug:

Nope I totally get it. Anything, "free local pickup" duhh, you think??
