Using a 44C deck on a 1450?
 

I have a 1975 1450 and a 44C deck off of a 1987 1211. Can I just change the top center pulley to use this deck on my 1450? Anyone put a slightly smaller pulley on the deck to make the blades run faster, but not dangerous fast? Anyone got a part number for the correct pulley and belt for this setup?

Change the center pulley to the same one as seen on a 44A. I assume you have the correct Mule Drive and if so.........off to the races.:biggrin2:

Just did exactly this. 44C on a 1450. Bought a new double pulley from ccspecialties. easy-peasy. Hardest part is balancing that dang deck so you can get to both sides of it at the same time! A pair of sawhorses helps.
