Did most "O"s have a hole in the frame for the creeper lever?

Yes, except for early '61s I think.

Thanks. My '61 has no hole. I picked up the creeper but really don't want to cut my frame.

I believe they started putting the hole in from the factory after they changed over the spindles and put the slot in the dash. I would love to have one of those. Luck just never seems to find me in this dept. :BangPC:

Mine does have the slot in the tower.

I picked up a pretty junky one a few weeks ago, serial #28916, it has the moon in the dash tower but no hole in the frame.

Not at all sure what that means, but with the age of these tractors and probably having had multiple owners over the years, the only thing I can guarantee is that the reduction housing was stamped while on a tractor that was assembled in April of 1962.

my 62 has the slot but the 4 digit 61 does not. wonder what the cutoff number was

i have 2 61's 22940 and 22933

(if my math is right both made on the same day Dec. 19, 1961 )

neither have a hole for a creeper

both are have notches in the dash for the steering and bolt on washers for the spindles

Some Monday in '61 or '62, the line foreman told the crew to start putting the slot hole in the frame. :biggrin2:
