1650 dead?

I had my 1650 running the other day for the first time this year. It was idling while I went to get the grease gun to gerase it before useing it. That's when my 6 year old desided to shove the throttle all the way ahead. I hadn't got around to adjusting the throttle stop yet (stupid). I don't know how many RPMs it was turning but it was running verry fast. Before I could get it shut down it started missing and smoke was comming out the breather. When I tried to restart, it was turning over hard and doesn't want to start. I'm thinking maybe bad bearing and crank. What do you guys think? What should I do next. I love my Cub and it kills me not to be useing it!

Welp..... just as well pull the motor and start tearing it down. Could be crank/ rod.... could have scored the piston....:bash2:

The governor should have keep it from over speeding unless it was not adjusted properly.
