model 100 pto clutch......2 frictions?

I just took the PTO clutch apart on my model 100, it was locked up. I was taking it apart for parts to fix the 72 Cub Cadet I just got and the PTO that was in the 100 PTO has two clutch discs. I gave up on this tractor as a mower around 2003 cause I was having problems with it breaking every week (Dad bought a brand new Cub Cadet cause the grass was 2' high)

I had this tractor for like 10 yrs before the PTO stopped working....was this some mower shop mod or something?
When I was a kid, I hung around my one neighbor who was a Cub Cadet mechanic, I have never seen anything like this. Both discs look good, anybody got a spare spring? (the one on the 72 has a finger busted off)

Get a PTO repair kit and rebuild it and it'll be your friend for years.
