782 hitch question
Hi everyone,
First post here and I want to start by thanking everyone for their contributed expertise. I have a IH Cub Cadet 782, serial number 686175. On the back of the tractor I have the standard pin hitch plate along with the lower hitch bracket. I also have the upper hitch mount (rockshaft?) installed and it swivels up and down when I run the hydraulics. That's it for installed parts. I would like to add a Brinly cultivator that someone will give me if it will work but I don't know what I'll need to attach it. I took a look at the Xtreme Motorworks site and it looked like one of their hitches would get me set up but when I emailed them the model and serial number of the tractor they told me that it was too new of a model and they had nothing to fit it. Does anyone have advice on what I would need to get so that I could hook up Brinly attachments? There may be a bottom plow in the future of this as well so I'm all ears when it comes to advice. Many thanks in advance. I hope everyone is having a great summer so far! |
Can you post a picture? It will help us identify what you actually have (which might not correspond to the serial number).
Welcome to the forum! |
Sounds like you have the cub cadet sleeve hitch. Post a quick picture. I'm really surprised extreme told you that.... I'm sure he has what you need.

Welcome to OCC! Here's what you'll need to attach the cultivator to your 782. Sounds like you just need the Brinly adaptor. The cultivator will hook up like the rear blade does in the second pic. Hope this helps.

YES! That's a great pic! That should help him! Thanks Allen! :beerchug:

That's exactly what I need. The pic is perfect. What I'm missing is everything in white along with the "rod" that goes into the top, rotating part of the hitch. I thought I'd be able to get all that from Xtreme but apparently not. I'm home later tonight and I'll post a picture of what's on the tractor now.

You can get that from extreme. There is a mis-communication somewhere along the line. Order one from him.

His part # for a floating kit is CC-29-111F, non floating has an S at the end instead of F. I STRONGLY suggest the floating.
|
Thanks. That's strange because I even asked him about those two model numbers. I'll ask again but I'll still post here first. Why the floating vs. the static?
|
I really don't know why people want to be able to put down pressure on things. There is no reason, besides, it lifts up on the rear tires when you do that and you lose traction. If you are going to pull a plow, you want/need the floating. I really don't know why extreme told you it wouldn't work, because it will. :bigthink:
