How not to fix a drive belt on a cub cadet
I was at a repair shop that I buy tractors from and he told me a true story that we both laughed at.
A guy came in and bought a drive belt for his mower and next day called and said the belt did not work so they told him to bring it in. Upon arrival, they looked up at the belt and here is what they found. The guy had cut the new belt and tapped and stapled the belt together cause he did not know how to get the belt on and wondered why it did not work. This is one of the 2 best stories I ever heard dealing with lawn equipment. The second, is a Cub dealer that I know told me this one. He sold a z-turn mower to a guy and delivered it and showed him how to run it. When all was well, he went back to the shop. He was back, maybe a hour, when phone rings and the guys says the z-turn you sold me won't run. He says, it won't run? The guy said nope it won't. So, he jumps back in the rollback to go pick it up. When he arrives, he is told the mower is over the hill, over there. As he tops the hill all he sees is the handles of the mower sticking out of the pond. The owner was told that mowers swimming is not covered by warranty
