Fuel Tank Cross-over hose for 1863
There's a fuel hose that crosses over from one side to the other on the back of my fuel tank pretty close to the top on my 1863. It's the width of the tank and the hose has a 90 deg. angle at each end which attaches to a barb on the tank with hose clamps. It's leaking and I'd like to replace it. I've gone on several parts sites to try to identify, but even though it shows up in the diagrams as part #5, there is nothing in the parts listing calling out a part number.
I was thinking that I could just replace it with a piece of fuel hose, but it appears to be a pretty tight fit and feel that straight hose would crimp at the bend. Can anyone help me here with a part # or a suggested fix? Thanks! |

Something I do on every Cyclops I work on is pull the fender pan and tank. Clean the shut off valves, replace the grommets that seal the shut off valves and all of the fuel line. I use 5/16" fuel line that you can pick up at most auto parts stores, I buy it by the roll. The pics are form a 2284 but you have the same setup. The hose you are talking about is in the last pic, I re-route how it is run. It's also a good time to clean the crud off the top of the transmission. Hope this helps. :beerchug:

Thanks Sam Mac, I'll get some fuel hose and follow your lead.

Pick up a few new bushings for the tank also. The Prime Line brand is also sold at a lot of auto parts stores and they are a lot cheaper then Cub Cadet. The part number is 7-07461.
