New to OCC

Hi All,

I have recently been blessed by receiving an early 90's SGT 2182. It has the 3 cylinder Kubota engine, 60" belly mower, power steering, etc... This thing has been garage kept for its whole life and it is beautiful. In fact it only has a little over 500 hours on the engine. I started it up for the first time last night and it purrs like a kitten.

The only thing I see might be a problem is that I'm very particular with my grass and it may be more of a workhorse than a detailed mower. Knowing that this thing is in near perfect condition, if I decide to sell it, what is it worth.

Thanks Jeff

Welcome to OCC, Jeff! Congrats on your 2182! I'd say it's worth $2500-$3000 possibly more in that condition.

2182

Thanks Allen,

Maybe I should word it another way. My wife and I are clinging to the edge of bankruptcy so I should probably ask... what is the realistic price that I can ask for it and sell it quickly?

Thanks,

Jeff

Welcome to OCC!
How about some pics and it is worth what someone is willing to pay you for it. Location determines price also.

New Question

Thanks for all of the information and concern. I'll have Pics in a few days once my new blades arrive. I can then put the deck on and take pictures of the finished product.

I do have a new question. The rod ends on the hydraulic cylinder for the steering are definitely in need of replacement but I noticed that if it is running and i move the wheel back and forth on a hard surface the large crossmember that has one large bolt in the middle moves slightly as well. Is this normal? I have a 3/4" drive set that I could use to tighten the bolt but I wanted to make sure that I should.

Thanks,

Jeff

is the axle rocking back and forth? if so, theres adjustment bolts on either side in the front for taking up the slack.
