I've got me a 1450. Let the restoration begin!
Hello all! My name is Jacob and I picked up a '73 1450 with a dozer blade and 44" mower deck for $100 in June. I have finally found some time to start working on it. I've been lurking around the forums for a little bit now, and while none of you know it, you have already been a huge help solving some issues that I have come across. My plan isn't to do a purist restoration, but to create a small version of a Farmall 1066 that I can use as a "pretty work tractor". My life has been changing a lot recently. I got engaged at the beginning of August and my lovely fiance and I are closing on our first home in the upcoming month, so money is tight, and time is even more precious, but I plan to start a build thread to keep you all updated on my progress.

Cool, I used to work in Roaring Spring. Do you know anything about the Centre Hall Tractor Show next week? I'm looking for a couple parts for my tractor and I was thinking that it would be a good place to start looking.

I know the Antique show and it is held at Penns Cave about 8 or so miles east of Centre Hall on rte 192. I live just a couple of valleys from there. My son EricR and I had a couple of garden tractors there last year. Although the spring auction is the best to find parts there are some vendors selling parts there every year. Lots of Flea market folks too. Not sure if we are taking any tractors this year or not.
