wheel horse to Cub
Just wondering if anyone has ever converted an older wheel horse snow blower that i ran on a 516 to be able to use it on a cub slt 1554. I know that it will be a challenge as the wheel horse was a horzontal shaft and the cub is vertical. The old horse died and I hate to see the blower just sitting there and would love to make it work. Any and all help would be appreciated.

Anything is possible with some metal, a hack saw, and welder.

With enough planning & money anything is possible.

Sell the thrower and buy the correct cub cadet one.

a bunch of the dealers I deal with wont sell a blower for the 1000 series tractors because they wont hold up and don't want to do the fixing when they break under warranty

Lawn tractors and snowblowers in my opinion do not mix very well. I had a 1420 and totally destroyed the tranny by doing just that.

I'd find the wheel horse for the blower rather than fabricating the blower to fit a lawn tractors

thanks guys .... while not the answers i was hoping for it was the answers i was expecting. I know that buying the cub blower is the right answer but the $1200+ they want for them is not in the budget at this time and I have had no luck finding a used one at a reasonable price either. Thanks again and want to say that I enjoy the site and all the help that is given here..
