A little help with the deck on my 100 please
 

When you drop the deck it throws the belt. Looks like the deck is angled forward causing the belt the jump off the pulley. I see the eye bolts (probably the wrong term) that hold the deck to the front of the under carriage, but it doesn't look like I can raise the front of the deck any more than it already is. Is there a way to lower the back of the deck. The rear of the deck needs to go down (or the front needs to go up) so the belt will be inline with the top pulley on the deck. I can run the deck all the way up, but as soon as I start to lower it the angle of the belt in relation to the pulley gets farther off the lower it goes, hence it throws the belt. Thanks guys.

Need more info, and maybe some pics. Which deck? Do you have the "quick attach" subframe? Did you just add the deck?

I'll snap some pics tomorrow after work. No quick attach. It was on the tractor when i bought it, but took it off and never used it till now. When I bought it, I ran the deck when I looked at it but I never lowered it, so it might have been doing the same thing then. I think I have the deck with the cast iron ends. I couldn't find a manual for the same deck in the resource section. Anyways, pics tomorrow. Thanks.

are you using a proper length belt in decent shape?

Belt looks good and I'm pretty sure it's the correct one. In the pic i'll show how the belt isn't in a straight line with the pulley. The front of the mower deck pulley is low, so the belt comes off. Probably something simple I'm just missing.

I believe in one of the manuals somewhere it says, to add spacers between the top of the deck and the brackets that pin to the lift frame.

I have several decks that have various type of spacers/shims to lower the rear of the deck.

It would be a lot of work but, I believe that it would be best to replace all of the worn parts that keep the front of the deck up.

The rock shaft and the forked bracket ("front pivot link support") often times, wear badly.

Ok I just put the deck back on a couple of days ago. The front of the deck is adjusted as high as it can go. Either the front needs to come up, or the back of the deck needs to go down. I tried to get the best pics I could. I didn't measure but I would say the blade tip is about an inch lower at the front of the deck than the rear. So you can see why if you drop the deck too far it will throw the belt. The only solution i can think of is to make some links to drop the rear of the deck, or space the rear brackets off the deck to let it down. I'm hoping I just have something set up wrong and it's an easy fix. Here are the pictures.

Did you make sure the belt is good and tight.... my 102 would throw it the same way. I tightened it more and all was golden

can you move the 2 rear lift brackets to the rear holes, I think that might raise the rear of the deck....
